Don Kingsberry shares a paper "I had written with one of the managers who worked for me, when I ran the Global Program Management Office for Hewlett-Packard and which I had presented at the PMI Global Congress. The Paper is entitled, Implementing a Global PMO, and it may be valuable for our members since most of the ideas and concepts would apply whether you are implementing a local or a global program management office.

The other important aspect of this paper is that it covers the largest technology merger in history (HP's acquisition of Compaq Computer which itself was the 20th largest U.S. company at the time), and obviously many companies are going through mergers and acquisitions today and the same tools and techniques would work."
