November Program: DHART: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team Implementation in Lebanon and in Manchester
John Hinds, Operations Manager, and Frank Erdman, Business Manager, for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART) will discuss project and process challenges in the implementation of the Advanced Response Team for the hospital in Lebanon as well as the development and implementation of the new base in Manchester, NH.

DHART crews provide both ground and air medical transportation services to the medical communities of Northern New England. In addition, DHART flight crews respond to public safety agency requests for medical evacuation of trauma patients from scenes of injury, and will transport to the closest Trauma Center in the region's five states. The DHART team played a key leadership role throughout hurricane Irene along with the Vermont Department of Public Safety and the Vermont National Guard.
John Hinds, BS, NREMT-P, CMTE -Operations Manager, DHART John has been with DHART since its inception in 1994. He has been in Emergency Medical Services for 33 years and a paramedic for the past 27 years.
He participated in the development of the North Suburban Emergency Medical Consortium; a four hospital based consortium providing Emergency Services for thirteen communities. John has been part of the National Disaster Medical System and currently is a member of the Massachusetts –1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team .
Frank Erdman, MBA- Business Manager, DHART Frank joined the DHART team in February, 2007. He has worked for over 30 years in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as an EMT, a Paramedic, an EMS Educator, Supervisor, and Program Manager. Frank moved to New Hampshire from Northern California, where he managed a helicopter air medical service for over 19 years.
Frank currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for The Association of Critical Care Transport, a national non-profit grassroots patient advocacy organization committed to ensuring that critically ill and injured patients have access to the safest and highest quality critical care transport system possible.
