June 2011 Program & Annual Chapter Meeting
June 21, 2011 David Fittro will provide an overview of Lean Six Sigma and a demonstration of the process improvement tools in use as he walks us through a case study involving the Supply Chain Management operations at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
David Fittro has 25 years of operations and program management experience in manufacturing, distribution, and healthcare organizations with a strong focus on organizational development, process improvement, and quality systems advancement. He is currently the Manager of Operations Performance Improvement for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center's Supply Chain Management Group. David's expertise spans numerous quality disciplines including the theories and methods of TQM, ISO, Lean, and Six Sigma. He is proficient in the application of advanced quality management tools such as Hoshin Planning, Balanced Scorecards, APQP, DMAIC, and 7-Step Problem Solving and has effectively deployed these in a diverse set of business environments. David's formal education includes a Master of Science in Analytical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University. He also holds a certificate in Organizational Development and is currently pursuing his Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certification from the American Society for Quality.
This is also the annual chapter meeting. President Jeff Poston will give a year in review for our chapter from 5:30 - 6:00 during the dinner portion of our meeting. Board elections are being conducted for current members. The election results will be announced at the conclusion of our program at 7pm.
