Senior Programmer/Analyst

Description Job Summary:

Assist in the development of detailed system specifications for major systems installation;
may provide work leadership and directions for other members of the programming staffs,
with emphasis on details analysis and programming issues; works independently with little
direct supervision in the maintenance of assigned systems and the development and installation
of systems of moderate size/complexity.

Job Responsibilities:
* Translate Business Requirements into Technical Specifications.
* Design systems of moderate to high complexity.
* Code / test / debug moderate to highly complex programs.
* Assist with production problem assessments, solutions, and recovery efforts.
* Assist in the implementation of application systems projects and tasks.
* Provide technical leadership and direction for staff.
* Create and/or Update System Documentation.
* Follow defined compliance and development standards as defined by Sr. IT Management.
* Participate in on-call rotation for off hours support of systems.

Job Requirements:
* Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent.
* 3-5 years experience with Degree, or 5-6 years without Degree.
* Programming languages: Cobol, RPG, EZ-Trieve, Java, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Korn Shell Script, Ideal, CICS, MVS JCL,
     Informix 4gl.

Platforms: MVS, Windows Network, Unix. Databases/File Structures: CA DataCom, DB2, Oracle, TerraData, VSAM.

* Decision making and critical thinking skills.
